Bio

Life ~ is a journey of “twists and turns”. It is never a straight line and it is never stagnant. We are a product of the detours we take and the people we meet along the way. Jackie: In Essence is a product of changing directions. She started out by getting a degree in Art and Art History from Washington State University, with the goal of teaching others to get excited about their creative outlets. Along the way, she discovered her own artistic voice. Jackie’s artistic side has been expressed through photography, dance, drawing, ceramics and all mediums of painting.

One of Jackie’s early influences was Manuel Robollo. Although she started out by following his use of line, color concept, space and sensuality … she quickly found her own style as well as an audience for her artistic statements on canvas. Jackie’s compassion and soulfulness can be seen in every original painting she displays. Every piece of art sold … has a piece of her heart… a piece of her essence.
